February Kre8tors Blog Hop

Welcome everyone to the February Kre8tors Blog Hop - I am so excited to be back as a contributor to this hop! This month our focus/theme was to use something from the Sale-A-Bration flyer. The amazing Sale-A-Bration is almost over, only a week left. Don't miss out on grabbing one of the free items!

I loved the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP as soon as I saw it and have collected a few packs already. I was thrilled to use the Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo papers on Faith's first birthday layout. I often want to use flowers and hearts on her layouts, but loved having these sweet rainbows and clouds. The colours of pink and gold go perfectly with her birthday theme colours.

The Sunshine & Rainbows paper pack has a large variety of patterns including stripes, dots, swirls, clouds, suns, rainbows and more! The 6x6" paper includes 12 double-sided designs in a variety of colours - Bermuda Bay, Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, Mango Melody, Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, Pool Party, So Saffron and Soft Sea Foam

I love these Amazing Thanks dies - perfect for titles and cards. The large ONE is from a retired alphabet die set, but there is another current set - Playful Alphabet dies #152706. I added Wink of Stella to the ONE to add a bit of glitter to help it stand out.

The Brilliant Rainbow dies are awesome. I love having a variety of sizes of rainbows to play with and of course some coordinate with the pattern paper and  stamp set. The cloud punch is a must punch to have on hand and has a coordinating paper in the Sunshine & Rainbows pack.

The embellishments I used are no longer available - the pink sequins were a past Sale-A-Bration item and the gold embellishments have retired. But there are a variety of gold gems/embellishments you can pick from. And you can use your Stampin' Blends to add colour to the pearls or other embellishments to help them match your project.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today. Be sure to use the Next button below to the next blog in this hop - there are so many amazing posts with lots of crafty inspiration!

6x8 Pocket Scrapbooking: Christmas Part 3

I am so excited with how this project is coming along. This is the third part in the series.
The first part I showed how I organized the project.
The second part I showed how I printed and added the photos.

And now part 3 - a look at the start of the scrapbooking. I like the use of pocket pages and the smaller scale - 6"x8". It makes the project quick and easy. Plus I had pulled the supplies I wanted to use and I try to keep from using anything else, so it narrows down the selection.

Here is a quick video walking you through the first half of the project:

As I mentioned a lot of the supplies I am using are from the Holiday/Christmas catalogue that is retired, however there are several sets, dies, punches and even a paper pack in the annual catalogue.
To see all the current products available go the online store and in the search bar type Christmas.
Plus there are always items added to Clearance section, often you can find Christmas items there.

If you have any questions as to what products or tools I am using please comment below.

I will be back soon with the final part in this series with the final look through.
If you have any questions you would like answered involving pocket scrapbooking please comment below and I will try to include the answers in my next video.

6x8 Pocket Scrapbooking: Christmas Part 2

I apologize for the lateness for this part 2 - I had hoped to be completely done this project by now or sooner. Silly me! I didn't factor in sickness, life and kiddos LOL!

Anyways so in this Part 2 I wanted to show you a quick look through my album with all the photos added.
Have a look at the video:

For the photos, as I mentioned, I print at home. I do this for convenience and the flexibility.

The paper I use from Amazon:

The ink subscription plan I am using:

I can't recommend this enough! My mom uses it too and we both love it. As long as you keep your printer connected to internet (wirelessly) they track your ink levels and send you the cartridges as you need them. PLUS you can pick a level of printing - so depending on how many pages you print per month. I love it!
When I was sharing about this at a recent class someone mentioned another ink program - but I can't remember what it is call - if you have other helpful suggestions please let us know in the comments!

For larger 12x12 pictures and printing jobs I have used https://www.persnicketyprints.com/
They do an amazing job and provide all sorts of sizing options. They are based in UT but have relatively affordable shipping to Canada.

I mentioned pockets for storing cards and other memorabilia in the back of the album.
I wasn't able to find similar product on Amazon but Michaels may have something.
Also I purchased a pack of the full size 6x8 page protectors - these could work if you wanted to seal it shut.

I will be back, hopefully soon, with Part 3 - a look at the journalling being added and some finished pages!
