PAPER PUMPKIN UPDATE (MARCH & APRIL)

Want to make amazing projects without the prep work? Meet Paper Pumpkin—Stampin’ Up!’s crafting subscription program. Because sometimes the best way to get creative is by thinking INSIDE the box.

Paper Pumpkin is designed to make creativity easy! Each month you’ll get a professionally designed kit filled with fun projects you can make and share with friends and an exclusive stamp set plus an ink spot. Below is a picture of all the items that were included in the March 2019 kit. PLUS every now and then Stampin' Up! says thank you by offering a special and this month it was an extra stamp set! How awesome is that!!!

Stamp set included:

With the kit you can make 4 popup cards of 2 designs = 8 cards with decorative envelopes to match.
I always like to make one of each design that you suggest and then I try to come up with my own design, sometimes bringing in other supplies from my stash. Here is what I came up with:

I used the balloon stamp from the bonus stamp set included in the kit and stamped in Poppy Parade, Flirty Flamingo and Bermuda Bay and cut out. I added some white twine for balloon strings and added a stitched rectangle to bring all the pieces together.

I kept the inside the same as they suggested - how cute are these popups!

I like that with this design I can keep the number off until I know who the card is going to and then add it for the perfect card.

For the inside I did a bit more stamping and added some more balloons - I think the little guy I have in mind for this card I will like it!

The March kit was so popular that unfortunately there are no longer any extra kits available. But each month there is a new kit that you can sign up for - and for April they are offering something extra-special: Stampin’ Up!’s brand new Distinktive® stamp images.

You won't want to miss out so sign up today - the April kit closes April 10th!

STEP IT UP | VALENTINES DAY FOREVER LOVELY

Stampin' Up! has been encouraging us, demonstrators, to do more simple stamping - focusing on just using paper, ink and stamps. Sounds easy, but I like to keep adding products and techniques - which there is nothing wrong with that - but sometimes it can be overwhelming if you are just starting out.

So today I wanted to bring back my Step It Up blog series and show you how you can make a simple, yet beautiful card and then as you get more comfortable you can add a few more products/sets to step it up.

NEW CRAFTERS
Today I used the Forever Lovely stamp set for my hearts and sentiment. I LOVE these hearts and to get the soft look I stamped it off twice and then stamped it on my notecard (5" x 3.5")

TIP | Do you want to know the easiest way to make a card? Start with Note Cards & Envelopes. They're ready for you to make and send a card. Card has thicker cardstock for layering and embellishing and comes in a pack of 20 note cards and envelopes.

And the supplies for this card earn you a FREE Sale-A-Bration item too!

CASUAL CRAFTERS
The second version of Forever Lovely card has added dimension with the stamping done on Whisper White cardstock (4.75" x 3.25") and adhered to the notecard with dimensionals. I added Lovely Lipstick hearts cut out using die cuts and coloured the clear heart epoxy embellishments.

TIP | The Stampin' Blend markers can colour the clear epoxy embellishments - allowing you to coordinate them perfectly with any project. I coloured the hearts with the Dark Lovely Lipstick.

AVID CRAFTERS
On the final card I added more layering with black cardstock and the Sale-A-Bration foil paper. I also increased the size of my card to be standard card size (5.5" x 4.25"). I added texture with the black twine. The hearts are cut from the foil paper and more of the epoxy hearts. Plus I used the new rectangle stitched die cuts to bring more attention to the sentiment.

TIP | All of the Stampin' Up! twine's are the perfect addition to any card to add texture and dimension. They are very affordable and with 25 years on a roll you have plenty! PLUS you can add colour to the white twine with either the blends, refills or ink pads.

THANK YOU
I hope you have enjoyed today's creations - please let me know below in the comments if you are new, casual or avid crafter. And as always be sure to share your creations on the Create & Share FB Group!
