Floral Phrases Stamp set - done three ways!

Happy Saturday everyone!

Today I wanted to share with you what I was able to do with some simple products. These are great if you are just starting out and you don't have a lot of products. First I will do an overview via video...

So lets start with the stamp set I used on all of these projects - Floral Phrases (#141764 pg. 77). This is such an elegant stamp set - great for weddings and thank you cards. If you look in the annual catalogue (pg. 77) you will also see a lot of matching products including Designer Serious paper, washi tape, detailed thinlits dies. To match these products you would also need the night of navy ink pad.

In all my projects I used the Dapper Denim ink pad and paper (pg. 169).

So lets start with the card - a simple yet elegant thank you card using the Dapper Denim ink and paper along with the Floral Phrases stamp set. A very simple design of layering the denim cardstock on the base with another white cardstock on top with the stamping. The sentiment is heat embossed and adhered with the dimensional adhesive. And like I mentioned in the video - a great way to finish off your cards is to include stamping on our envelope.

Extra items you will need include: Whisper White Thick Cardstock #140272 pg. 175),
white embossing powder (#109132 pg. 181) , VersaMark ink (#102283 pg. 180),
as well as staple items listed below.

Next is the 8.5 x 11 layouts. I like to focus on the pictures (many of the photos are done by their photographer - Lauren Garbutt Photography) and the journaling. So the stamp set and Dapper Denim ink and cardstock helped me with that. I printed the photo on glossy paper and adhered to the 8.5 x 11 paper that I had printed the title and journaling directly on. I then stamped the two images and added the strip of cardstock and included a wood veneer heart. On the other layout included in the video I use a pocket to hold the ceremony handout and invitation and then layered cardstock, vellum and embossing to decorate.

Extra items you will need include: Whisper White Thick Cardstock #140272 pg. 175),
white embossing powder (#109132 pg. 181) , VersaMark ink (#102283 pg. 180),
vellum (#101856 pg. 175) as well as staple items listed below.

And finally the pocket pages - if you are not familiar with Becky Higgins Project Life - I will explain more next week - but as you can see it is an incredible easy way to get your photos and journaling done in one place. I like to add layouts like the above into the same album.

Stampin' Up! Carries a variety of exclusive Project Life products, but here I decided to use the Project Life Photo Pocket Pages (Design 1 #135295 pg. 167) and make my own pocket cards to match the layout. I just used that same white cardstock and stamp set.

So I hope this gives you an idea on how you can use the stamps, inks and papers in all sorts of different projects. I've also included a list below of some of the tools and products I use pretty much on every product - I would say they are pretty much staple items to have on hand.

Staple items | I also used some standard items that are great to have on hand - including: adhesive (pg 182) dimensional adhesive (#104430 pg. 182), clear blocks (pg. 183), heat tool (#129053 pg. 181), envelopes (pg. 176) and its great to invest in a quality trimmer and scissors (see pg. 189 for more details).

  1. Thank you for sharing different ways to use the same product - I can sometimes get stuck in a rut where I find it difficult to try new ways to use my resources and you have provided some great inspiration here!

One thing I really notice in your videos and pictures is the crisp, finished look the Stampin'Up! stamps and ink produce. The quality of the product is really evident and I'm looking forward to getting my own goodies!
