And a little bit of news to share with you...
Thanks to all of you wonderful friends, customers, team mates (Stamp & Create - Lisa, Amanda, Christine and everyone) and family - I was promoted to Silver!

What does that mean?
Well based on my sales and team size I have promoted to the third level which provides lots of great perks - including points AND this beautiful silver necklace - isn't it amazing!!!
Thank you Stampin' Up!

One of the best things about being a demonstrator with Stampin' Up! is that I am a part of a great team - its not just me, but so many wonderful ladies who encourage and support me both in person and online - whether they live in Canada, US or the UK - its such a great support system. Plus having a team that is local and gathers together monthly is great!

Just recently the team gathered to do swaps - a great way to add to my collection and here is what I put together - to see what the other ladies created you will need to attend an event ;)

This uses the NEW Crafting Forever stamp set, NEW ribbon (on my there is so much great new ribbon!) and the NEW Colour Theory DSP.
(DSP = designer series paper)

A SNEAK PEAK - NEW PRODUCT!

Ok this is a long post...I just have so much to tell you!
You might want to grab your favourite drink and some chocolate :)

I have been meaning to update you on my trip to Toronto in April - when I was able to attend the OnStage Stampin' Up! Conference. I have finally started to put it into my scrapbook so I thought I would share some of my pages and photos from the day with you.

So first here are a few of the layouts/pocket pages I put together to document my trip/birthday getaway:

I used NEW Product for these pages and some of the NEW In Colours!
Check out this video showing you a closer look at the new products featured in the
new 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue (coming June 1st!):

I can't wait for you to see it ...and you will have a chance at my ....

Ok now on to more from the weekend ...

This was my second time attending a Stampin' Up! event and I have to say they know how to spoil us demonstrators! First of all I was beyond thrilled to have earned my ticket for free via points - you earn these points via purchases and accomplishments throughout the year. And second the event fell on my birthday weekend so Fred and I extended the trip and enjoyed the city the whole weekend!

Fred dropped me off Saturday morning at the conference centre - right downtown. Such a beautiful spot. So while I enjoyed myself at the conference Fred worked away in the city - it was a win win for us both!

As I mentioned Stampin' Up! knows how to put on an event - there was a great goodie bag (I'm still using the bag for everyday!) filled with lots of great items including a FREE stamp set. I quickly found my team mates (another great thing - the Stamp & Create team I belong to is awesome!) who had reserved my spot and then I started to handout swaps.

I took 30 cards to swap and had exchanged them in no time with other ladies - so many great creations, but I didn't have time to go through them until later that night! Also at our table the girls from the team spoiled us with goodies and Lisa gave each of us this CUTE container filled with all kinds of goodies!

(Thanks Amanda!)

(Thanks Lisa!)

Throughout the day we have either live teaching from the stage or via the screen from the live event overseas - both are amazing - there is so much to take in. First thing was getting the new catalogue!!! I can't wait for you all to see it - so many great items and I LOVE the new In Colours!

We also get to play with the new products and receive lots of FREE stamp sets and products throughout the day.

It was also the anniversary for the Canada team - 15 years!
So we all got a special goodie bag of items and a yummy cupcake.

The whole day is so amazing - a great lunch, lots of time to look at the new products on display, chat with other demonstrators and they also do lots of recognition - I was acknowledged for promoting to Bronze Elite and for completing both Quick Start programs (which I couldn't have done without all of you great customers and supporters! Thank you!).

Once the day was over Fred and I crashed in our amazing hotel - which was right beside the
CN Tower and the Rogers Centre - I loved the view of the water!

The hotel spoiled me with a very yummy selection of desserts for my birthday. We were both exhausted after long, but fun days, so we stayed in and enjoyed pizza and Uber delivered cheesecake lol! Fred was so excited to surprise me with that.

And for the first time ever (and probably the last time) I had room service - they brought our breakfast up on a lovely cart and everything - just like in the movies!

I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate my birthday!

I would love to have you join me at the next OnStage event in November - all you have to do is join the team - you never know you could earn your ticket for free!

FREE MAGAZINE AND A FUN CREATIVE SHARE

I hope you are enjoying this beautiful day! I love that the sun is out, the sandals are on, the flowers are growing, the leaves are coming out and the long weekend is just a few days away!

And I have a few fun things to share with you - first - something FREE!!!!

As we celebrate the scrapbooking month I wanted to let you in on something that might provide some inspiration and get your creative juices flowing....

The Spring Edition from Scrapbook and Cards Magazine - check it out here - download for FREE

We had a lovely Friday night class this past week.

A small group of us worked on scrapbooking - I provided a handout with several tips that I have learned over the years and the steps I use as I start to put together a project.

One of the questions I was asked was
"How do you know what to scrapbook and what to do as pocket pages?"

So I thought I would show you two of my albums in order to answer this question - both of these albums are works in progress. First let me say that scrapbooking is my creative therapy - this is meant to be fun for me, not necessarily fast - so depending on the day, I might scrapbook a few pages using the traditional method or I might put together a digital page and have it printed out, or do something hybrid, combining traditional with digital or I might want to keep it simple and put the pictures in pocket pages and call it done. I also store my completed projects in chronological order, even though I don't scrapbook/document them order.

In the video I explain that I typically use traditional layouts to tell the bigger story and use pocket pages to include a lot of photos. I also enjoy using pocket pages for everyday or smaller stories that don't need a full 12x12 page. I also enjoy using the full page layouts to breakup a larger section - for example with the Disney layouts, I used a 12x12 layout at the start and then broke each day up with a 8x8 layout. This helped explain our trip easily without me having to explain to whoever is flipping through.  I also enjoy using a variety of sizes of traditional layouts - 12x12, 8x8, 8.5x11, etc.

Here is a closer look via video:

Does that answer that question?
I would love to know other questions you have about scrapbooking
- either traditional, hybrid, digital, pocket pages or mini!

I also had some ladies join us on Friday night, to put together their Designer Tin of Cards kit - which is still on sale if you want to grab one! This would make a fabulous Teachers Gift, Bridal Shower gift, birthday gift, etc. Complete it and give them 16 beautiful cards with a stylish storage tin.

I have the stamp set and inks, you just need to provide the adhesive!

AND IT'S ON SALE FOR
$25 + tax and shipping.

And I wanted to share a card that highlights this months challenge. Have you posted anything on the Create and Share Facebook Group page yet? Make sure to do so before the end of the month so you can get in on the prize giveaway. For more details check it out here.

I put this card together for Fred's parents 50th Anniversary:

The gold ribbon is no longer available but there are others that would work well too!
