RECAP - CARDS AND CAROLS EVENT

Hey everyone - Happy Halloween and last day of October! This month has just been crazy and I can't believe its done...but that means we are getting that much closer to the Christmas season. And this past Saturday I held my first Christmas event of the year.

We had 29 ladies register and attend the event - held in the Brockville 1000 Islands Mall community room. The Thousand Islanders Chorus group asked me to coordinate the event for them as a fundraiser - with proceeds going towards their charity - Autism in the community. And I am thrilled to announce we made our goal of raising $500!

I was thrilled with how smooth the event went. They made 5 different card designs, 2 of each and 5 different tag designs, 2 of each = 10 cards and 10 tags. We packaged up the supplies and other goodies in a Kraft bag they could also decorate and use for the holiday season.

Here is a closer look at some of the cards we made:

(putting together the kits for all of these projects!)

Another bonus to the day was the music provided by The Thousand Islanders Chorus group - they started the event off with the Quartet doing two awesome Christmas songs and then half way through, a larger group sang another assortment of carols. These ladies are beyond talented!

We of course played some games, gave away some awesome prizes, had some yummy treats and there was a lot to look at with our card displays.

I want to give a HUGE shout out to - Christine Schroder (thank you for asking me to be apart of this event with you and the ladies!), April Watt (couldn't have done this without you girl!), Fred Grendel and Aaron Watt (you guys were awesome to help out on the day of, setting up and taking down, providing treats and helping with registration!), Susan & Anne (thank you ladies for helping with the gift bags!), Danielle McIntosh (for travelling the hour to support us!), and to my family for coming out to support me!

Looking forward to doing another event in the future - but first I need to rest and catch my breath - this event was a LOT of work! :)

Choosing one design is difficult because I truly like all of them but I LOVE the elegance of the white and gold card!
Thank you for including me in this event! I had a blast!
