STEP IT UP | VALENTINES DAY FOREVER LOVELY

Stampin' Up! has been encouraging us, demonstrators, to do more simple stamping - focusing on just using paper, ink and stamps. Sounds easy, but I like to keep adding products and techniques - which there is nothing wrong with that - but sometimes it can be overwhelming if you are just starting out.

So today I wanted to bring back my Step It Up blog series and show you how you can make a simple, yet beautiful card and then as you get more comfortable you can add a few more products/sets to step it up.

NEW CRAFTERS
Today I used the Forever Lovely stamp set for my hearts and sentiment. I LOVE these hearts and to get the soft look I stamped it off twice and then stamped it on my notecard (5" x 3.5")

TIP | Do you want to know the easiest way to make a card? Start with Note Cards & Envelopes. They're ready for you to make and send a card. Card has thicker cardstock for layering and embellishing and comes in a pack of 20 note cards and envelopes.

And the supplies for this card earn you a FREE Sale-A-Bration item too!

CASUAL CRAFTERS
The second version of Forever Lovely card has added dimension with the stamping done on Whisper White cardstock (4.75" x 3.25") and adhered to the notecard with dimensionals. I added Lovely Lipstick hearts cut out using die cuts and coloured the clear heart epoxy embellishments.

TIP | The Stampin' Blend markers can colour the clear epoxy embellishments - allowing you to coordinate them perfectly with any project. I coloured the hearts with the Dark Lovely Lipstick.

AVID CRAFTERS
On the final card I added more layering with black cardstock and the Sale-A-Bration foil paper. I also increased the size of my card to be standard card size (5.5" x 4.25"). I added texture with the black twine. The hearts are cut from the foil paper and more of the epoxy hearts. Plus I used the new rectangle stitched die cuts to bring more attention to the sentiment.

TIP | All of the Stampin' Up! twine's are the perfect addition to any card to add texture and dimension. They are very affordable and with 25 years on a roll you have plenty! PLUS you can add colour to the white twine with either the blends, refills or ink pads.

  1. I'd say I'm a casual crafter! Lots of supplies, but pull them out occasionally!
